The Victorian Behaviour Change Centre aims to assist people in changing or modifying unhelpful patterns of behaviour, by offering individual counselling, and group counselling programs:
Be the Change, Men’s Behaviour Change
Change Matters, Women’s Behaviour Change
(both programs address violence towards partners, siblings, parents, and children)
180 Anger Management
Act Out Change, Young People’s Anger Management (for older teens).
VBCC is based on the philosophy that every person has the capacity to change. Our counselling programs are designed to assist people to recognise the areas where they can improve, and to find the skills to make this change happen.
Our approach to counselling is to provide evidence-based interventions using both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) interventions, within a trauma-informed, holistic approach.
