Siobain is an experienced Clinical Psychologist that has worked in both public mental health and private practice. She completed the post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychology training at the University of East Anglia in 2005, working with adults and young people in the community before moving to Australia.

Since living in Australia, Siobain has worked in public mental health settings with adults and youth experiencing mental health problems (both in-patient and community). Her current role in public mental health is as a senior clinical psychologist in a specialist service for personality disorders and providing psychological treatment to adults experiencing trauma symptoms.

Siobain operates a small private practice where she provides psychological therapy for adults and young people experiencing mental health problems or with psychological needs.

Siobain has additional training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a treatment for PTSD, and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), an approach that is used for treating chronic mood disorders and relational, or personality, difficulties.

Siobain’s training and experience means that she can draw on a range of evidence-based models to inform her practice. She works collaboratively with clients to develop an understanding of their difficulties in a way that is helpful and provides a safe therapeutic space with which to improve psychological well-being.
